Principal’s Message

Chinese New Year celebrations have been delightful again this year. We joined our friends at KGV for the Lion Dance and the therapy team did a wonderful job by organising creative and fun learning in the school hall.

Some students have been participating in the softball matches with Po Leung Kuk Anita L.L Chan (Centenary) School. The games will continue in the second half of the term. This is one of the many ways we work with local schools.

The ESF’s Got Musical Talent event last Saturday was a huge success. There was a wide variety of music and musicians and Grappa’s Cellar was full. A huge thank you to our PTA and Kim Anderson for organising this with the profits going to support our students.

On Tuesday I joined Helena Murchie and some KGV students from KGV and JCSRS to practice for the ESF’s 50th Anniversary Concert that is coming up soon. I am walking the corridors singing!! It’s gong to be an excellent concert and we are very proud to be part of it. Details in the poster below.

Safe and happy Chinese New Year to you all. I wish you all Kung Hei Fat Choi.

Showcase – Gold Class

A Day Out at the Chinese New Year Market

On Tuesday, Gold Class went out on an educational visit to the Chinese New Year Market at Victoria Park in Causeway Bay.  Students walked around the park viewing the variety of festive stalls and the many different items for sale.  They happily made their purchases to share with their family.  Afterwards, we sat down to a delicious dim sum lunch.  Gold Class enjoyed the beautiful day out, enjoying the celebratory atmosphere of Chinese New Year! Some of the students would like to share about their day out and what they did.
