Asdan Programme

Our secondary year students follow the ASDAN Award Programme. The award programmes are activity based curriculum resources, which provide a real life context to promote the development of personal, social, independent, ICT and work related skills. Literacy and numeracy are also taught using the framework of the ASDAN Award Programmes.

The 14-15 year age groups follow the Transition Challenge Programme. This provides a framework of activities to develop and accredit independent living and personal skills. The Transition Challenge works through areas of activity relating to statutory programmes of study for Key Stage 4 National Curriculum subjects, complemented by activities contributing to the skills of adult living.

The post 16 age group follows the Towards Independence Challenge. This provides a framework of activities through which personal, social and independence skills can be developed and accredited.
